1. How many signatures will fit on my platter?
All of the platters that we offer will accommodate 150+ wedding guests. Remember that most guests will sign Mr. and Mrs. Jones or John and Jane. This will be one signature for two guests. If space does become an issue when signing your platter, you are able to have your guests sign on the back of the platter.
2. How long does it take to receive my order? What if I need a rush order?
Orders are shipped within 3 to 4 weeks. If your platter has not arrived within 5 weeks of placing an order with us, please contact us by email at info@nakedplatespottery.com or by phone 603-740-8666.
It is possible at times to rush an order. If you are working with a tighter time frame please contact us directly by phone at 603-740-8666. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. Additional rush charges may apply for rush orders.
3. Will my platter look like the colors pictured on the website?
The colors used for your platter will be the exact colors you select with your order. Remember that the colors may appear either a bit lighter or darker on your screen depending on how your monitor is set. Please call us at 603-740-8666 if you need help with color selection when placing your order.
4. When do I pay for my order and what charges are involved?
Each platter is personalized to a specific event and couple therefore payment must be made in full before an order will be completed. Besides the cost of the platter, there is also a shipping charge that varies with delivery location and a flat fee handling charge of $4.00. When your order is placed through our website our system will calculate the total cost including the shipping and handling charge with your bill. There are no hidden fees.
5. How do I know if you received my order?
Within 24 hours after placing your order you will receive an order confirmation to the email address you provided with your order. We suggest printing this confirmation for your records. If you have not received a confirmation after 24 hours please contact us by email info@nakedplatespottery.com or phone 603-740-8666.
6. How do I seal on the signatures to my wedding signature guest book platter?
Once all of your guests have signed the platter, allow your platter to air dry for at least 24 hours. Then bake your platter in a conventional oven for 35 minutes at 300 degrees. Do not preheat oven. This process will make the signatures permanent on your platter.
7. Is there any way to remove a signature from the platter? Will the signatures smear or smudge?
The ceramic pen ink dries quickly to the touch. Smearing or smudging should not be a problem. If a mistake is made when signing the platter, we recommend using a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to soften and lift off the pen ink. This must be done before the platter is baked. Once baked, the pen ink can not be removed.
8. Can I use my platter with food?
The pen ink used for signing the platter is non toxic and all of our glazes are lead free but we recommend using your platter as a decorative display piece only.
9. How do I care for my platter?
If you should need to clean your platter we recommend hand washing with a very mild soap. Never wash your platter with anything abrasive or put your platter in the dishwasher or microwave. We also suggest never using sharp utensils like knifes on your platter.
10. What if I dont see a design I want on the wedding signature guest book platter website?
We have artists on staff that would love to make your dream platter a reality. Please contact us by email info@nakedplatespottery.com or phone 603-740-8666 to discuss your ideas. Additional charges may apply for custom orders.
11. Are there platters available for other occasions?
All of our designs are hand painted. We are able to create just about any type of design needed including designs for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, and anniversaries. Please contact us by email info@nakedplatespottery.com or phone 603-740-8666 to discuss your options. We do have future plans to offer standard designs for other occasions.
12. If I lose the special ceramic pen can I use my own to sign with?
No, the pen included with your order contains a special ink designed for signing your platter with. This ink becomes permanent on your platter once baked. A marker such as a sharpie will not have the same results. We do recommend purchasing a least one additional pen with your order.
13. What do I do if my platter is damaged in shipping?
We use only sturdy ceramic pieces and carefully package your platter but if something should happen during shipping please contact us by phone at 603-740-8666 immediately. UPS allows a 5 day window on shipping damages. Please save all packing materials with your order. We will replace your order at no charge.
14. Do I have to place an order online?
Our website is very secure but if you do not feel comfortable with ordering online please contact us at Naked Plates by phone at 603-740-8666. We would be happy to take your order by phone.
15. What is included with a standard wedding signature guestbook platter order?
The standard package includes your platter, one ceramic pen for signing, and an instruction card for baking your platter. Additional pens and plate stands can be added to your order for an additional fee.
16. Is my platter returnable?
No your platter is not returnable. Each piece is personalized especially for a specific couple and date we can not accept a return. Please make sure when placing an order that all the information provided with each order is correct. To view a complete terms of sale click here.
17. What type of payment do you accept?
Orders placed online can be paid for using Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover. We use Paypal to process our online orders to ensure secure and safe transactions. You do not have to have a Paypal account to pay for your order.
18. What if I need help picking colors for my platter?
We are always here to assist you with choosing colors. With our vast selection of colors sometimes it can be overwhelming matching color choices. You can reach us by phone at 603-740-8666 and we would be happy to help.
